Maui holds off Moanalua to take consolation

Hotia Vaaimamao had 22 points and 10 rebounds as Maui (12-5) held off Moanalua (7-12), 55-51, for seventh place in the Girls Division I state basketball game at Stan Sheriff.Maui outscored Moanalua, 19-9, in the first period and maintained the lead throughout.
Moanalua was led by sisters, senior Jamie-Leigh Ronolo, who had 23 points, and junior Britni, who had 17 points and 10 rebounds.
