Low-income HECO customers to get free equipment

A new program from Hawaiian Electric Co. will enable qualified low-income residential customers on O'ahu to receive energy-efficient equipment at no cost to them.The Honolulu Community Action Program will administer the program and is accepting applications starting June 1 at district centers in Central O'ahu, Kalihi-Palama, Leahi, Leeward O'ahu and Windward O'ahu.
