Halau I Ka Wekiu, the hula halau that earned the overall group laurels in this year's Merrie Monarch Festival in Hilo, will be seen in a segment set to air about 8:30 a.m. Tuesday on "The CBS Early Show." The Honolulu-based halau is led by Karl Veto Baker and Michael Nalanikila'ekolu Casupang.

A CBS news team, with host Phil Keoghan ("The Amazing Race"), shadowed halau members during last month's 44th annual Merrie Monarch Festival. Halau I Ka Wekiu also was the overall group kane winner, group kane kahiko winner, and group kane 'auana winner.

The airtime is subject to change, according to CBS.
