Wednesday dinner to honor distinguished UH alumni

An estimated 700 University of Hawaii alumni and friends will gather at a dinner this Wedbesday at the Sheraton Waikiki to honor the 2007 Distinguished Alumni — attorney Walter Kirimitsu and real estate entrepreneur Jay Shidler — as well as UH Founders Lifetime Achievement Award winner and former Lieutenant Governor Thomas Gill.The event is scheduled to begin at 5 p.m. and to conclude at 8:30 p.m.
