A man is paying a stiff price for two packs of cigarettes.

Gary Anthony Tinao Jr., 30, who claims a Coconut Avenue address in the Diamond Head area, has been charged with first-degree robbery and kidnapping. Bail is $20,000.

Tinao allegedly confronted a 50-year-old woman employee of a Mililani convenience store at knifepoint Friday at 2:05 a.m., forced her into the store and stole two packs of cigarettes.

Police arrested Tinao at 2:30 a.m. at Lanikuhana Avenue and Meheula Parkway.
