Feds to prosecute felon on firearm charges

Advertiser Staff Writer

A Wai'anae man arrested Thursday for firearm offenses will be turned over to federal authorities for prosecution of being a felon in possession.

Richard Dickie Stevens Jr., 36, was ordered held without bail on Saturday at 3:30 p.m.

Stevens, who was arrested by police at a park at 86-609 Farrington Highway at 1:30 a.m., has five prior convictions, according to Hawai'i Criminal Justice Data Center records.
