Researcher pleads for return of stolen items

Advertiser Staff

A Stanford University researcher is seeking the return of equipment needed for a project stolen today from a sports utility vehicle parked on North Kalaheo Avenue between 3 and 5:30 p.m.

The thieves fled in a yellow van which had been reported stolen.

Researcher Hillary Young, who arrived here yesterday and is scheduled to leave tomorrow for Palmyra atoll, said the stolen laptop computer contains her research data. Also taken were a digital camera, radio system and GPS unit which are needed for the research project.

Anyone with information on the stolen property should call CrimeStoppers at 955-8300 or *CRIME on a cellular.
