Hawai'i groups get $8M to help low-income taxpayers

Two Hawai'i groups are receiving some of the $8 million being given out nationwide by the National Taxpayer Advocate for operators of low-income taxpayer clinics.The Legal Aid Society of Hawaii was given $50,000 in matching grants while Volunteer Legal Services Hawaii received $27,500. The grants are given to organizations that provide free or low-cost tax help to low-income taxpayers.
