A crowd of 4,000-plus is expected to attend the one-day event, sponsored by O'ahu WorkLinks, Success Advertising, and Altres Staffing. Admission to the fair, which runs from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., is $3 for adults and $1 for students with identification, seniors 55 years and older and military with ID.

"What's unique about our job fair is that we'll have O'ahu WorkLinks job counselors on site to provide assistance to job seekers," Debbie Kim Morikawa, city director of Community Services. "Whether it's coaching people for interviews or assisting them in developing their resume, our counselors are there to ensure that job seekers have the best opportunity to be selected for the job.

"For employers, it's an opportunity to pick and choose candidates as they walk up to your booth and meet with them in a private area specifically set up for job interviews," Morikawa added. "A word of advice to job seekers, be sure to come dressed and prepared to be interviewed. You'd be surprised at how many people show up in shorts not realizing that some companies may want to interview you on the spot."

"Try On Your Dream Job" will be one of the unique features of this year's fair. Chef Sam Choy will be among the celebrities participating in the mentorship program which gives those interested in a particular career an opportunity to talk with experts in the field.
