Planned Waikiki cleanup event seeking volunteers

The Waikiki Ohana Workforce of the Waikiki Improvement Association and the Japan-America Society of Hawai'i are organizing a Waikiki Beach cleanup on Saturday, June 9.

The cleanup event will take place between 7 and 9 a.m.

Volunteers are asked to meet at 7 a.m. at the Duke Kahanamoku statue at Kuhio Beach for a briefing.

After the cleanup, transportation will be provided to take volunteers to the Hilton Hawaiian Village for a continental breakfast reception at the Hau Tree Bar. For those interesting in helping out, call 923-1094, ext. 6 by June 4.
