Konawaena alumna on NCAA D-III championship team

The Linfield (Ore.) softball team defeated Washington-St. Louis, 10-2, in six innings today in the championship game of the NCAA Division III Finals in Salem, Va.Candice Fujino, a 2006 Konawaena High School graduate, had a walk as the starting designated hitter for top-seeded Linfield (44-7). In all six tournament games, Fujino was 5-16 with two doubles and two RBIs.
It is the first national team title for any women's sport at Linfield.
