UH finalizing deal to play Colorado in football

Advertiser Staff

The University of Hawai'i is in the process of finalizing a four-year home-and-home football series with the University of Colorado.

A CU spokesman said the plan calls for UH to play in Boulder in 2010 and 2014 and the Buffaloes to come to Aloha Stadium in 2011 and 2015.

"The contract is in the preliminary stages, but I anticipate no problems," said David Plati, CU sports information director.

"We've always had a couple of kids from Hawai'i on our team...and the big tie is (assistant coach) Brian Cabral," Plati said.

Cabral is a Saint Louis School alumnus who recruits in Hawai'i.

UH and CU last played Jan. 1, 1925.
