Hawai'i-themed malt company wins awards at tasting

A flavored malt-beer company that draws its creative inspiration from Hawai'i captured two awards during the recent World Expo of Beer competition in Frankenmuth, Mich.Kalima Hawaiian Hard Creamer flavors took first and third place in the "Malternative" category with its Pina Colada and "Fuzzy Navel" (orange-peach) flavors, according to B2 Beverage, a Corona Del Mar, Calif., brewer. Besides focusing on tropical cocktail flavors found in Hawai'i, the six-pack cartons feature Hawaiian themes.
