Arbitration award boosts police pay

Advertiser Staff

An arbitrator awarded police officers statewide across-the-board pay increases and pay differentials equaling 33.8 percent over a four-year period, says the State of Hawai'i Organization of Police Officers.

SHOPO plans to release details of the new collective bargaining agreement reached recently tomorrow at a 2 p.m. news conference at its office at 1717 Hoe St.

The agreement covers a four-year period from July 1, 2007, through June 30, 2011.
