The Honolulu medical examiner's office today identified the man who died Friday from injuries suffered in a truck crash on Kalaeloa Boulevard as Alfred David Silva, 49, of Kapolei.

Cause of death is listed as "cranial cerebral injury" due to an accidental motor vehicle crash.

Silva was a passenger in a 2001 Ford Ranger driven by a 25-year-old man who police vehicular homicide investigators said was speeding and overtaking vehicles when it hit a high curb, went out of control and through a fence before overturning.

Silva was ejected from the truck.

The crash near Lauwiliwili Street occurred at 10:20 a.m.

Silva died Friday at The Queen's Medical Center at 4:55 p.m.
