La'ie man in running for 'Keep Going' hall of fame

Spencer Kamauoha of La'ie is in the running for a spot in the Energizer "Keep Going" hall of fame.

One of 100 semifinalists in a search for people with never-quit spirit, Kamauoha worked for 10 years at Kahuku Hospital, co-founded and operates Photo Polynesia at the Polynesian Cultural Center, serves as vice president of the nonprofit Kamauoha Foundation, and is project manager Kamauoha Farms — a 100-acre noni farm and juicing facility. He provides free workshops on growing noni and producing dried products. Also, he is a scoutmaster for the Boy Scouts.

One winner will be chosen from 10 finalists via the web, and receives $10,000 plus a $5,000 donation to charity.
