Former Family Court judge Nakagawa dead at 84

Visitation for Togo Nakagawa will be from 5-6 p.m. and the service at 6 p.m. Tuesday at Hosoi Garden Mortuary.

Togo Nakagawa, a former city prosecutor and former Family Court judge, died May 15 at the age of 84.

Nakagawa, a staff sergeant with the famed 442nd Regimental Combat Team during World War II, was a deputy prosecutor from 1968 to 1977 before he was appointed city prosecutor. He headed the prosecutor's office from 1977 to 1980.

He also served as a Family Court district judge from 1986 to 1992.

Visitation will be from 5-6 p.m. and service at 6 p.m. Tuesday at Hosoi Garden Mortuary.
