Amanda Wilson shoots 78, now 31st in NCAA golf

Amanda Wilson, a Waiakea High graduate now attending Stanford, shot a 6-over-par 78 today to fall out of the top 10 after the second round of the NCAA Division I Women's Golf Championships at Daytona Beach, Fla.

Wilson shot a 1-over-par 73 in the first round and now is at 151 and tied for 31st.

Mari Chun, a Kamehameha Schools graduate also attending Stanford, shot a 6-over 78 and is at 154 and tied for 39th.

Kelly Nakashima, a Baldwin alum attending Idaho, shot a 78 as well and is at 158 and is alone at 100th.

Purdue's Christel Boeljon, who started the second round tied for sixth, took into a one-shot lead after shooting a 3-under-par 69

Duke maintained its lead in the team division, at 587. The Blue Devils are followed by UCLA (594), Purdue (597), Stanford (599) and USC (601).

The tournament, at the LPGA Legends International Course, concludes Friday.
