Hawaii boxers headed to U.S. Championship

More than a dozen 2007 Hawaii boxing champins will compete in the U.S. Championships May 29-June 9 at Colorado Springs, Colo.Quarterfinalist of the Men's tournament will advance to the Olympic Trials in Chicago in August. The 2008 Olympic team will be picked in August.
A fundraiser concert for the Junior Olympic champions will be held Sunday from 5 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. at Ewa Ranch. Bands include B.E.T., Koa Uka, Kawao, Next Generation, Beyond Paradise, Pohaku, Kaena, and Rappers.
The Junior champions will compete at the U.S. Olympic Education Center in Marquette, Mich., June 23-July 1.
