KANE'OHE
Take on Tetris in mall contest

Advertiser Staff

Windward Mall is hosting a two-week contest to find the best Tetris players in Hawai'i.

Daily contests are being held from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. at the mall. The daily winners will meet in a showdown June 3 for the grand prize, an Xbox 360 and Tetris Evolution game.

Tetris, said to be the world's most popular computer game, was invented in the Soviet Union in the mid-1980s.

"You don't have to be a top player to enjoy the competition," said Henk Rogers of Blue Planet Software, a company formed in Hawai'i to license and manage rights to the game.
