2005 escapee arrested for shoplifting

A man declared an escapee in 2005 when he failed to return to the Laumaka Work Furlough Program facility was arrested today in Pearl City for shoplifting.
Edward L. Long, 53, was at 98-1277 Ka'ahumanu St. at 10:55 a.m. He was charged with escape and fourth-degree theft.
