Honua Kai developer sells $100M of condos this year

Advertiser Staff

The developer of the planned 700-unit Honua Kai resort condominium complex on Maui's Ka'anapali Beach reported an additional $100 million in sales this year to date.

Canada-based Intrawest Corp. sold about 75 units for a rough average of $1.3 million each at the project, according to project broker Playground Destination Properties Inc.

The increment brings total sales at the project, which released initial units for sale in 2005, to 587 units for roughly $725 million in two towers. There are 40 more units available in the second tower called Konea, which is slated to begin construction in the fall and open in late 2009.

Honua Kai's first tower, Hokulani, is under construction and slated to open next year. A third phase comprising 73 townhomes is also planned and is scheduled to be released for sale in the next few months.
