Tad Davis, a deputy assistant secretary of the Army for environmental safety and occupational health, was on The Hot Seat today for a live blog chat.

Davis, who is based at the Pentagon, is in Hawai'i to talk with military, state and local government and community leaders about the Army's assessment of the NOAA survey of military munitions disposed in shallow waters off the Wai'anae coast and to initiate the process to develop a response plan.

(Read more about the Wai'anae Coast Neighborhood Board's concerns and Davis' response at last night's meeting in today's Advertiser, 'Ordnance cleanup a possibility.)

You can catch excerpts from today's session in Sunday's Focus section.

Or go to The Hot Seat to see comments posted from today's chat.
