Aloha Stadium manager named after two-year search

Advertiser Staff

Scott Chan, the interim Aloha Stadium manager, has accepted an offer to become the permanent stadium manager, ending a nearly two-year search.

Chan was offered the job last month by the Aloha Stadium Authority, but he said then he needed time to decide.

Chan, a former Kaiser football star in the 1970s, was the deputy stadium manager prior to becoming the interim manager.

Chan called the position "a great opportunity," and said, "I choose to take on that challenge."

Eddie Hayashi announced his retirement in 2005 and Ken Lum and Chan assumed interim stadium manager duties since then.
