Help sought finding Big Island theft suspect

Big Island police are asking for the public's help in locating a 40-year-old man who reportedly fled from police, leaving another person in a moving vehicle.

Leven Campbell is described as 5 foot 7, about 160 pounds with a slim build, dark brown hair and brown eyes. He has a tattoo on his left hand and usually sports a mustache and goatee.

Police also want to question Campbell after he was seen driving a vehicle that was reported stolen.

Campbell has several outstanding bench warrants. His last known address was in the Puna District.

Police ask anyone with information on his whereabouts to call Detective Ian B. Lee Loy at (808) 961-2381 or the Police Department's nonemergency number at (808) 935-3311.
