Former Kekaulike golfer places second in NAIA

Point Loma Nazarene University sophomore Sam Cyr, a 2005 King Kekaulike graduate, finished second at the NAIA Men's Golf National Championship at Plymouth, Ind., today.

Cyr, who had a two-stroke lead after yesterday's third round, shot a two-over-par 74 in the fourth and final round to finish at 3-under 285.

Oklahoma City's Daniel Mitchell won the tournament with a 6-under 282. Oklahoma City also won the team title while Point Loma Nazarene was ninth.
