Firefighters extinguish Whitmore brushfire

Several fire companies have put out a brushfire near Aheahe Avenue in Whitmore Village.The fire was not considered a threat to homes, fire department spokesman Capt. Frank Johnson said.
It was reported about 4:15 p.m. and declared out about 6 p.m.
