Airport offers additional parking for holiday travel

Additional parking will be available at the Honolulu International Airport to deal with increased holiday traffic, the Department of Transportation said.Memorial Day typically kicks off the summer travel season. Travelers are urged to arrive 45 minutes earlier than usual because of the expected high traffic.
Valet parking will be available, the DOT said, at a rate of $15 per day vs. self-parking at $10 per day.
Approximately 300 stalls on the top floor of the interisland parking garage were reopened for public use earlier this month.
Overflow parking will be available at the former United Cargo lot on Aolele Street.
