Kamau plays at Borders Ward Centre at 8 tonight

Kamau plays songs from its debut CD.

Kamau, which features sons of Kapono Beamer and Steve Ma'i'i, plays Borders Books & Music at Ward Centre at 8 tonight to promote its debut CD, "Live From the Lo'i."

More than a year in the works, the CD sets the tone for a new sound in contemporary Hawaiian music, what the band calls maoli music.
