SPECIAL

Summertheatre 2007 is accepting students, 13-18, for their intensive summer drama program, which includes instruction in playwriting, improvisation and acting. Students will participate in workshops with guest artists and perform a showcase of their work in July. The program runs from June 13-July 13 at the Hawai'i Theatre and at the Mission Memorial auditorium on the Civic Center grounds. Tuition is $500 with scholarships available for qualifying students. Summer Theatre Camp for Kids, daily sessions in singing, acting, dancing and group activities for students entering grades 5-12, which will develop talent and appreciation of the theater, noon-5 p.m. Mondays-Fridays, June 12-July 20 (the first Monday is a state holiday) plus a performance of Disney's "The Jungle Book Kids," on July 21, Windward Community College, Hale Palanakila, room 227; $300. 235-7433.
