Test of Civil Defense warning sirens set for Friday

Advertiser Staff

A monthly test of state Civil Defense warning sirens is set for 11:45 a.m. Friday.

The siren test is an attention/alert signal — a steady 45-second tone on all sirens.

The sirens are used to alert the public about any emergency that poses a threat to life or property. When the siren signal is sounded, it means turn on a radio or television for emergency information and instruction broadcast by civil defense agencies.
