Taxation video available to help landlords

The State Department of Taxation is airing a 19-minute information video at 8:30 tonight on 'Olelo (Channel 49) to help landlords complete the revised General Excise tax forms.The program will guide landlords through the process of completing Form G-45, General Excise/Use Tax Return and will include information on filling out the new parts of Form G-45 related to the new 1⁄2 percent O'ahu County Surcharge tax and reporting taxes by taxation district.
The video is also posted on the department's Web site (www.state.hi.us/tax, look under County Surcharge Information) and will be rebroadcast on 'Olelo at the following times:
Taxpayers who have questions may call the Tax Department's customer call center at 587-4242 or toll free at (800) 222-3229 between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m., Monday through Friday (excluding state holidays) through June 29.
After June 2 call center hours will return to 7:45 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
