Gay Pride festival and parade set for Saturday

The parade, which runs from 9:30 to 11 a.m., will start at Magic Island and end at Kapi'olani Park.
The festival will run from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. at McCoy Pavilion. It will feature live entertainment, food booths, the "Gay Idol" final, a poetry slam, a Drag King contest and workshops.
The event is sponsored by The Center, which provides the gay community with a home for the nurturing and celebration of its organizations, institutions and culture.
