Hawai'i golf courses get high marks from Conde Nast

Hawai'i ranks high in the recent Condé Nast Traveler Golf Poll 2007, dominating the top three positions in the list and a total of seven of the top 25 golf courses in the world.Readers gave the highest ranking to golf resorts on Lana'i and the Big Island.
The magazine asked 4,300 Condé Nast Traveler readers to evaluate 339 golf resorts that they had visited in the past three years. Properties were rated on seven criteria — course design, speed of play, pro staff, accommodations, service, food/dining, and facilities.
Readers used a five-point scale: excellent, very good, good, fair, and poor. Each score represents the percentage of respondents who rated a particular feature excellent or very good. Only properties that received a required minimum number of responses were included in these rankings.
The magazine ranks the top destinations each year.
