Woman, 55, found dead in Halawa Heights home

Police are investigating the death of a 55-year-old woman who was pronounced dead early this morning at her home in Halawa Heights.

Bryan Cheplic, spokesman for the city Emergency Services Department, said a city paramedic team was called to the woman's home, at 99-462 Paihi St., at 11:23 p.m. last night and pronounced the woman dead at 12:10 a.m. today.

Police determined the death involved suspicious circumstances and opened a homicide investigation. A 25-year-old woman has been booked on suspicion of second-degree murder in connection with the case.
