WAIMEA
Iowa dentists offer free care

Advertiser Staff

Dentists from the University of Iowa provided free dental care to 92 children in Waimea in May through the "Healthy Children - Healthy Smiles" Keiki Dental Project.

The project will continue in June with a visit by a pediatric dentist, Shan Lal from Columbia University, who will provide follow-up care and services for more children.

Children ages 3 to 12 are eligible if they have Quest or Medicaid as their only insurance, or if they are uninsured and qualify for free or reduced lunch.

For an appointment or more information, call the Mobile Care Health Project at 933-6007 (Monday and Tuesday) or 987-8904.
