Easing traffic at swap meet

Advertiser Staff

The city and management of the Kam Swap Meet have reached an agreement to ease traffic congestion during swap meet hours at the old Kam Drive-In, Mayor Mufi Hannemann announced.

Under the agreement, swap meet management is opening the 'ewa driveway on Moanalua Road, just east of St. Timothy's Episcopal Church, as an "entrance only" driveway.

Swap meet management has also agreed to relocate the special duty officer from the Ka'onohi Street entrance to the southwest corner of Ka'onohi Street and Moanalua Road to monitor the intersection and direct traffic when needed.
