WAIMEA
Audubon park adds talk, class

Advertiser Staff

An archaeologist and a plant expert will conduct talks and a class at Waimea Valley Audubon Center.

For the first time, the center will sponsor "Ask the Archaeologist" from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday. The new program is free and repeats on the third Saturday of the month.

A Native Hawaiian Plant Propagation class is set for 10 to 11:30 a.m. Saturday. The hands-on workshop is designed to help the average gardener use the same techniques as professionals to grow quality plants from seeds and cuttings. Participants will take home a plant they've propagated. Fee is $8 plus admission.

Reservations required. Call 638-9199.
