Farmers market opens this morning on Big Island

A new farmers market opened this morning in Kailua-Kona in a Kmart shopping area, 74-5465 Kamakaeha Ave.The market will be open 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.
Nonprofit associations will be offered free space at the market every week for fundraising events. The market no-profit space is available on a first-come, first-served basis.
