Fukuroku, who was selected to the third team, was a second-team selection last year. She earns a 3.39 grade point average while majoring in kinesiology and leisure science. At least one Rainbow Wahine soccer player has now been selected academic all-district in six of the past seven years.

Fukuroku, a first-team Western Athletic Conference selection last year, leads the team and is among the conference leaders in points (24), goals (9), assists (6) and shots (50).

Fukuroku and the Rainbow Wahine (11-4-2, 4-1 WAC) aim for a conference title this weekend as they host Boise State tomorrow at 7 p.m. and Idaho Sunday at 5 p.m. in the final two home matches of the season.
