Free pow wow set Friday at Waikiki Community Center

A free, public Mini-Pow Wow will be held from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday, Nov. 2 at the Waikiki Community Center, 310 Paoakalani Ave., to kick off Native American Heritage month in Hawaii.

The event will feature dancing, singing, native foods (including frybread) and crafts for sale.

Head Staff includes: Head Man Dancer, Mike Runningwind; Head Woman Dancer, Cady Ching; Master of Ceremonies Catcher Cuts the Rope and Arena Director, Tom Rowland. The Host Drum is our own group of local boys (including Joe Hacker and Ernest Timentwa) who have been singing at recent pow wows.
