"ER," 9 p.m., NBC. Kari Matchett seems to be TV's busiest actress. Last season, the talented Canadian was a regular on three series. She played Mary Tate on "Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip," Lisa Miller (the vice president's aide) on "24" and the earnest coordinator of organ transplants on "Heartland." The year before that, she starred as a doctor on "Invasion." Now she's doctoring again; she is brought in to help out, while other doctors prepare for their exams. Meanwhile, Sam and Abby are helping a young woman who seems to crave attention.

"Grey's Anatomy," 8 p.m., ABC. Last week's harsh episode left Izzie and George feeling shunned after Callie (George's wife) told everyone about their affair. Also, there's trouble with the new surgeon; she has the notion, unfairly, that Cristina is trying to sleep her way to the top. Tonight, Izzie and Cristina compete for surgery experience. Also, the chief plans a men's night.

OF NOTE

"To Die in Jerusalem," 6 p.m., HBO. An explosion brought the deaths of two teenage girls — a Palestinian suicide bomber and an Israeli student. This documentary studies the lives of both and brings their mothers together.

"Ugly Betty," 7 p.m., ABC. Marlo Thomas guests as a client who has an eye for younger men. Meanwhile, Betty has a scheme to meet Henry at the musical "Wicked."

"The Office," 8 p.m., NBC. Karen (Rashida Jones) is trying to get Stanley to move to her branch office; Michael tries to stop her.

"CSI: Crime Scene Investigation," 8 p.m., CBS. An actor has been killed during a horror porn film.

"Scrubs," 8:30 p.m., NBC. In last week's season opener, Elliot suddenly realized she doesn't want to marry Keith. They've broken up now, but J.D. is still with Kim; as the birth of their baby nears, he starts worrying about parenting advice.

"Without a Trace," 9 p.m., CBS. After a shooting at an office, a woman disappeared. Some people feel she's trying to hide something personal.
