Kailua hit-run leaves pedestrian in critical condition

Police are seeking the public's help in finding a hit-and-run driver who struck a female pedestrian in Kailua today.Police said the 35-year-old woman was walking her bicycle in a marked crosswalk at Hamakua Drive and Aoloa Street about 1:45 this afternoon when she was struck by a light-colored Toyota sport utility vehicle.
The vehicle sped off on Hamakua Drive toward Enchanted Lake.
The victim was reported in critical condition.
Police asked anyone who saw the accident to call CrimeStoppers at 955-8300.
