"Christmas Gift of Aloha" signing at Ala Moana Sunday

Barnes & Noble Ala Moana features Lisa Matsumoto and Illustrator Michael Furuya at 10 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 4, in the store to kick off the Holiday season by signing one "The Christmas Gift of Aloha."

"The Christmas Gift of Aloha" is about, Merry, a newly trained Christmas Elf, who falls from Santa's sleigh and finds himself in Hawai'i. He is dismayed that there is no snow, reindeer, or other sign of Christmas in this strange land. With the help of Mele the Menehune, Merry soon discovers the wonders of a Hawaiian Christmas..

The book inspired 'Ohi'a Productions' holiday musical and parade, featured at Ala Moana Center this holiday season!

Lisa Matsumoto and Michael Furuya are the author and illustrator of the award-winning books "How the B-52 Cockroach Learned to Fly" and "Wailana the Waterbug" and local bestsellers "Beyond 'Ohi'a Valley" and "The Adventures of Gary and Harry."
