DIVISION I

At Hilo civic

Semifinals

Kamehameha def. Kahuku, 25-20, 25-16

Two-time defending state champion Kamehameha will be back to try for a three-peat, after sweeping resilient Kahuku.

The Interscholastic League of Honolulu champion and No. 1 seed Warriors improved to 20-1 in the regular and postseason and will face ILH rival 'Iolani (19-2) in tomorrow's title match at Afook-Chinen Civic Auditorium.

First serve is set for 7:30, and the game will be televised statewide on a same-night delayed basis by OC16.

'Iolani def. Punahou, 25-18, 25-18

Leinani Keanini had nine kills and nine digs and Mahina Haina added seven kills to help the Raiders sweep the Buffanblu.

The Raiders led from start to finish in the first game, jumping to a 6-1 advantage and holding off several Punahou challenges, never letting the Buffanblu (16-5) get closer than three points.

After Punahou closed it to 18-15 on a kill by Lani Fonua, a long rally ended with the Buffanblu being called for four hits.

'Iolani then ran off four more consecutive points to take a commanding 23-15 lead.

The Raiders again started quickly in the second game, taking an 11-4 lead after three straight Punahou errors. The Buffanblu never got closer than five thereafter.

Punahou and Kahuku will play for third place tomorrow.

Consolation Bracket

Roosevelt def. Kamehameha-Hawai'i, 25-12, 25-23

Emily Maeda had 10 kills to lead the Rough Riders (13-3) past the Warriors (14-3).

Roosevelt plays Moanalua for fifth place tomorrow.

Moanalua def. Kamehameha-Maui, 26-24, 25-13

Kaleinani Kabalis had 14 kills to lift Na Menehune (12-5) past the Warriors (10-4). Dreanne Shaw led KS-Maui with 11 kills.

Mililani def. Kalani, 25-17, 25-18

Candace Soares' 12 kills led the Trojans (11-5) in a victory over the Falcons (10-8).

Mililani faces Waiakea in the consolation final tomorrow.

DIVISION II

At McKinley and Radford high school gyms

Semifinals

Seabury Hall def. Word of Life, 20-25, 25-17, 25-17

Seabury Hall will have an opportunity to do what no Valley Isle team has done before — win a girls state volleyball championship.

Yacine Meyer had 13 kills and Kaimi Rocha added nine as No. 2 seed Seabury Hall beat Word of Life.

Seabury Hall, the Maui Interscholastic League champion, will play Hawai'i Baptist in tomorrow's final at 7:30 p.m. at McKinley.

Hawai'i Baptist def. Moloka'i, 25-21, 25-16

A tough serving game and hard-hitting Sarah Palmer helped top-seeded Hawai'i Baptist advance to the title game.

Palmer had 16 kills on an assortment of shots for the Eagles (16-4), the Interscholastic League of Honolulu Division II champion.

Molokai will face Word of Life for third place tomorrow.

Consolation Bracket

Waimea def. Farrington, 25-23, 22-25, 25-23

Hilo def. Castle, 25-16, 25-23

Hilo plays Waimea for fifth place tomorrow.
