Punahou wins girls cross country championship

Punahou School today won its third straight girls high school cross country title at the Honolulu Marathon/Hawai'i High School Athletic Association state championships at Kapalua Village Course on Maui.

The Buffanblu placed five girls in the top 25 to finish with 64 points. Seabury Hall was second with 72 points and 'Iolani School was third with 107.

Mililani High School sophomore Kristin Ali Keith won the state title, turning in a time of 19:31:55 in the 3-mile race. Haley Abing of La Pietra was second with a time of 19:41.80.
