Advertiser Staff

The University of Hawai'i women's volleyball team swept host Fresno State 30-26, 30-25, 30-23 tonight to clinch its 12th consecutive Western Athletic Conference regular-season title.

Hawai'i will be the top seed at the WAC Tournament, Nov. 15-17 at Las Cruces.

Hawai'i head coach Dave Shoji did not attend tonight's match at the Save Mart Center because of the flu. Associate head coaches Kari Ambrozich and Mike Sealy coached the match.

Jamie Houston had a match-high 17 kills for the Rainbows (19-4 overall, 13-0). Aneli Cubi-Otineru added 14 kills and hit .385.

Alisha McKee and Angela Wiggins led the Bulldogs (5-21, 3-11) with nine kills apiece.

Hawai'i improved to 42-0 against Fresno State in a series that dates back to 1983.

The 'Bows have two WAC games remaining, both at home, against San Jose State on Nov. 8, and Utah State on Nov. 11.
