No North Shore Festival

The North Shore Festival, formerly known as the Makahiki Festival and originally scheduled for Nov. 10-11, has been canceled for lack of sponsor support.

John Cruz to tour isles

Singer/songwriter John Cruz, whose 10-years-in-the-making CD "One of These Days" is a local hit, is embarking on a tour of the Islands. Details:

  • Nov. 9: 7:30 p.m. at Gaylord's at Kilohana, Kaua'i. Tickets: $30; reserved tables of 10 also available. 245-5608.
