Kalihi restaurateur accused of sexual assault

Advertiser Staff

The owner of a popular Kalihi restaurant is being held on $150,000 bail after his arrest on sexual assault charges involving a 15-year-old boy.

Police said Lyle Mitsugi Nonaka, owner of Mitsu-Ken Catering, was arrested Thursday at his 'Ewa Beach home after an investigation of the reported assault.

The 15-year-old boy told police that he had oral sex with Nonaka in late October after meeting him through an Internet Web site.

The boy later told police about the encounter and Nonaka, 50, was identified as a suspect through a photographic line-up, a police officer testified in District Court on Friday.
