Broken main on Kapiolani should be fixed by Sunday

Board of Water Supply crews expect to have a broken main on Kapi'olani Boulevard repaired sometime Sunday morning.Construction crews working at Kapi'olani and Pi'ikoi Street damaged the 12-inch water main at about 2 p.m. today, causing the break.
A Board spokeswoman said as far as it could determine no residential customers were affected, only businesses in the area along Kapi'olani.
The spokeswoman also said the water main that was damaged was scheduled for replacement in the ongoing project along Kapi'olani.
Kapi'olani east-bound lanes are closed from Pensacola to Pi'ikoi. Pi'ikoi mauka-bound is also closed at Kapi'olani (Kona Street is open).
